It’s not easy to be an expert, accomplished rope bondage Mistress in London. Dedicated, fearless rope subs to practice my Shibari arts on are rare. Likewise, it’s not easy to find accomplished Japanese rope bondage Mistresses, not just in London, but anywhere.
Fortunately, many of my rope bondage regulars come from all over the world and it humbles me.
I’ve been discussing recently the joys and fears of rope bondage, a fetish I love and can’t get enough of. Because I don’t always find enough rope bottoms interested in this type of session! Until one appeared in my inbox! He requested a two hour session of elaborate, inescapable, severe hogties and restraint in my East London Studio. My heart lit up with joy and skipped a beat.
It takes a special sub to enmesh mentally and emotionally with the art of Japanese rope bondage. For a quick “being restrained” and shackled, there are indeed many excellent mistresses all over London. But rope is about the road that takes you there, into inescapable, immobilising restraint.
Often, people ask me if the rope work is going to take a long time of the session, Mistress? That’s an unequivocal sign that they aren’t into rope bondage. Because with rope, what matters is the ritual and the gradual loss of limb movement and progressive restraint. If somebody isn’t into rope, just wants to feel restrained, then Mistress’ wrist & ankle cuffs and padlocks do the job. And fair enough. But as a rope Mistress, I enjoy the ritual: to delve into a hogtie, suspension or predicament, as they unravel in session.
Because immobilization, captivity, bondage and restraint bottoms fall into one of these categories:

Those who want to be restrained.
I get many of the latter, but the former, the Shibari and rope bondage submissives, aren’t that easy to find.
So I spent all morning digging up rope from half forgotten cases and bags, and what a booty I got! Hemp, polypropylene and cotton rope that I’ve been collected over the years. Washing some, re-conditioning other. Rope bottoms and Shibari submission fans are in for a treat.
